I'm Debbie, the founder and creative force behind ORA. Together with my husband Alex, we're on a mission to offer artisans and crafters top-quality yarns that not only inspire creativity but also champion sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Our carefully curated selection caters to a diverse community of makers, from seasoned textile designers to hobbyists and other small business owners who value eco-conscious materials. With an ever-expanding range of colours, textures, and fibres – including plant-based and recycled and upcycled options – we strive to empower your creative journey sustainably.

From her childhood days learning crochet, knitting, and sewing from my mother to her transition to full-time entrepreneurship, Debbie’s journey is a testament to her happiness and gratitude. 

Alex, with his background in manufacturing and quality management, brings a wealth of expertise to our operations. Alex ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes – from crunching the numbers to working closely with our suppliers.
