Our Ramie is a completely natural handmade yarn with fabulous texture which works brilliantly for weavers, basket makers and textile artists to create sculptural objects, baskets, hats and mats.
Get creative with crochet or knitting - this Ramie makes an unusual light knitted fabric (try 2 to 3 strands together). Try with other natural yarns like Pineapple Fibre, Cotton Gima or Linen. You can dye it too!

Ramie is a bast fibre, as is hemp and nettle, and is grown with minimal water and no pesticides or herbicides and to top it off it contributes nutrition back into the land in which it is grown.
